It's not the 20.2 megapixels that I find impressive - Canon and others have packed this many megapixels onto a sensor before.
Instead the feature that I find most interesting is the ISO range: from a low of 50 to a high of 102400.
The very first Canon digital SLR that I ever owned had a maximum ISO of 3200 and I still found it quite capable in low-light situations. With 5 ISO levels higher, I fully expect that the Canon 6D will be able to see in the dark.
To go along with its night vision, the Canon 6D features an 11-point autofocus system that will lock on to subjects quickly even in very dim available light.
And - last but not least - the Canon 6D is a very capable film camera.
The massive sensor allows videographers to selectively blur background elements, and shift focus to create a real cinematic look.
The ability to blur the background paired with the capacity to shoot in virtually any type of available light (thanks again to the absurdly high ISO) makes the Canon 6D a versatile tool for aspiring movie-makers.
